dollies

I'm a grown-up lady who likes paper dolls.  When I stumbled upon these custom paper dolls by artist Jordan Grace Owens,  I think I kind of squealed. This non-custom set looks a bit like Adam and I, at least the way I picture us,  me in a navy and white polka-dot jumpsuit. I'm thinking about having a custom set made of us, including the boys, to float in a frame as our family portrait. At 6" tall, the dolls are $35 each, with a 3-4 month waitlist, a bummer because they'd make such a great holiday gift, but understandable given she is a one-woman-shop, and who doesn't want custom paper dolls, really?

Her Etsy shop also includes family portraits in a few different styles of custom portraits. You can use the digital image for invitations or stationary, or order  prints.

And she does a mid-century style framed portrait with a custom color background.  I kinda love this.  I picture it sitting on the dresser just like Grandma's house.  It would be pretty cute with kid faces.
